Marazion to Porthleven - Wednesday 17th April 2013
Path Facts - Length: 10.6 miles, Ascent: 1749 feet
Left about 9.30 am. Wind blowing a gale this morning and fairly cool. Gauging temperature regulation can be tricky sometimes. You get a fair sweat on with a pack on and wearing a Goretex but it's too cold and damp to remove many layers.
The coast became a bit wilder again after yesterday's semi-urban ramblings.
Budget accommodation.
Danger!
Stopped at Praa sands about midday.
The wind was blowing a gale outside. There was actually a mild breeze on the inside of the double glazing in the beach cafe and the sand castle wind mills outside were on turbo.
The cafe at Praa sands was ok. Mug of tea and veg sausage sandwiches. We had a fairly long break here as this was the only real stopping point for today.
It seemed to be getting colder and windier as the day went on but thankfully no rain.

Arrived at Porthleven about 4 pm. Tea and cake in Nauti but Nice, the spelling no doubt a reference to the long standing nautical expertise of cake eaters frequenting the comfy chairs.
Went for a wander later. The wind was stirring up a few impressive waves. The sea in the harbour looked like a washing machine.
